How Does Red Sea Recovery Work?

Red Sea Recovery is based on a Five Stage Recovery Growth Plan, with a strong emphasis on salvation as the key to lasting recovery.

Program Overview

Our program focuses on creating positive processes that address wants and needs in the areas of pain and pleasure. In our opinion, pain and pleasure are the two main driving influences of an addictive lifestyle.

At Red Sea, we seek to create spiritual endurance and build recovery muscles.

The program is based on a one time a week recovery night concept, with additional programs offered online and in person as participants seek to plant stronger roots in their salvation and their recovery.

We know that as we are working the five stages on recovery night, at any time a person can be drawn by the Holy Spirit into either initial salvation for their life, or afterwards, surrender of an area of their life to Christ.

Our goal is to have programs and processes in place at these critical moments when the Holy Spirit is moving in a person’s life that will give them a tangible route to true freedom in Christ and victory in their recovery process.

As we are moving through our recovery cycle, the focus of our wants and needs must shift in order to achieve victory in our recovery walk.

Growth in our salvation process should roughly approximate Seven Spiritual Markers, which can finally allow us to switch the focus of our wants and needs from self-focused to Christ-focused.

This will allow the Holy Spirit to guide our soul to direct our body to change our actions.

The Red Sea Five Stage Recovery Growth Plan Moves
Us Through Our Recovery Cycle.

We start with an overview of the program, including what you can expect from us, and what we need from you for this to be success in your life.   You will get a Big Picture presentation of what Staking a Valid Claim for Recovery looks like, and we will set some initial goals.  This Orientation type of session can be handled either online or in person.

In the Pre-Stage Stretch, we provide an overview of the Five Stages, focusing on five basic questions this plan will allow you to answer.  We also reveal the  Three Trades of Recovery we must be willing to make to begin this journey.

In Stage One, we learn the concept of Spiritual Land Management, and why it matters.  We focus on the first two Claims of recovery in our Staking a Valid Claim Foundational Course.  We end up with a focus on our Core Recovery Concept of The Hope Cycle.

In Stage Two, we begin the Focus Shift process.  We move into Claim #3 and Claim #4, and learn the Key Recovery Concept of The Silo Mindset.  We end up with a focus on the Core Recovery Concept of The Treasure Transfer.

In the Mid-Stage Intensive, we begin the Key Recovery Concept of the Fearless Search, which is an introspective focus on our character defects and shortcomings, including the compromises we have made, the convictions we have ignored, and the harm others did to us.

In Stage Three, we begin to refine our recovery cycle with the knowledge we are gaining.  We move into Claim #5 and Claim #6, and learn the Core Recovery Concept of The Response Ability.  We end with a focus on the Key Recovery Concept of The Healing Amends.

In Stage Four, we seek to understand the importance of creating and maintaining our Recovery Vest.  We move into Claim #7 and Claim #8, and learn the Core Recovery Concept of The Recovery Rope.  We end with a focus on our C.P.R. Recovery Strategy.

In Stage Five, we pull it all together.  We finish up the Staking a Valid Claim materials, and learn our F.I.B.E.R. Effect Recovery Strategy.  We end with the Key Recovery Concept of The Increasing Measure.  In this stage you have the tools to repurpose your struggles into victories.

In the Post Stage Wrap-Up, we cover our Daily Red Sea Process Checks and the importance of staying plugged into Red Sea.  We will review our initial goals, and set new ones, if needed.  We will also go over the Next Steps for you.

It's All About The Focus

It is Process-Driven Heart Change that creates growth in your recovery and in your spiritual life.

Measuring your success or failure in linear terms such as days or years should not be the focus.  They are simply a by-product of a consistent focus on process-driven heart change.

We celebrate linear milestones in recovery, but only as motivation for continued focus on growth.
